This beautiful example of thoughtful design manages to take a .98 carat old European cut diamond and make it appear to lay almost completely flat against the hand. It has to do with the clever way different elements of the design delicately transition to enclose the depth of the gem, and it works like a charm! A smooth bezel adds definition, and the diamond surround includes the perfect touch of leafy detail at each shoulder. A beautiful and incredibly comfortable choice. Plat ca. 1910.
