This charming ring features two pieces of “gold quartz”, natural white quartz that displays veins of gold. When miners found this stone, it meant they'd struck it rich, so they would often set aside a few pieces of this precious rock and have it made into jewelry for their sweethearts or themselves. Here, 2 wedges of quarts have been inlaid side by side and set into a classic elongated oval ring with a split shank and beaded detail. A lovely souvenir in 14k yellow gold, ca. 1900.
