We love this spectacular Georgian necklace for it’s dark, mysterious, and ever so slightly sinister feel. Fashioned of silver that has oxidized to a deep gray, the 3 part pendant holds an array of antique rose cut diamonds, each backed with foil in closed-back settings (as was the fashion) to help them shine brightly. The bow form top and large drop are a fantasy of intricate tracery, with a large pear shape rose cut diamond suspended in the center. Measures 2” long, and furnished with a (newer) 16” oxidized silver chain. A remarkable survivor from ca.1820. Silver with .50ctw in very old diamonds.
