The center diamond in this Art Deco classic is a spectacularly glittery .75ct transitional cut diamond. The transitional cut is sort of a midway facet pattern between the Old European cut and the modern round brilliant, and it delivers some of the best qualities of both. This lovely gem perches between geometric details that resolve into an angular, sculptural “knife edge” shank. A wonderful adornment for sure. Platinum, ca.1940. Current finger size 5.
