Round diamonds are often set into angular shapes, but we confess we’re especially fond of the Art Deco hexagonal examples! It’s something about how they manage to combine sweeping tapered lines and crisp edges. This beauty holds a brilliant .22ct diamond in a gleaming panel of milgrain trimmed platinum, ensconced in a swirling fantasy of yellow gold filigree. The effect is as graceful and swooping as a bird in flight… airy and shimmering in the light. Sits a bit higher (to make room for that lovely filigree), but wears super smooth and comfortable. 14k yellow gold and platinum, ca.1935. Current finger size 6.00.
