Cannetille is an incredibly detailed and delicate wirework technique that first rose to favor in Europe in the 1820’s. A close relative of filigree, it features twisted rosettes, spirals, and tiny beads of gold. This work is known for being etherial and lightweight, which makes it perfect for earrings. This pair, worked in 10k yellow gold, holds cabochon cut tourmalines in a lovely deep shade of pink. They measure a bit over 1.5” long from the top of the shepherd hook ear-wires.
