Every now and then a piece comes in that is so unique, so distinctive, that we really struggle to categorize it. This is one of those moments. Behold the Beehive earrings. Hallmarks tell us they were made in Portugal ca. 1940. They are crafted of unusual19k yellow gold, with touches of silver holding the turquoise elements. They remind us a bit of beehives, with their incredibly rich honey color. They measure a bit over 1.75” long from the uppermost curl of their flamboyant tops to the bottom point. Fitted with the original flat posts and engraved lever backs. 19k yellow gold, silver, and tiny bits of turquoise glass.
